Up close and personal

That's how I had to get to snap this picture of Piper's FIRST TOOTH! We spied it's presence about a week and a half ago, and it made an appearance through the gum a few days afterward. She hasn't been as cranky as I thought she'd be, just clingy. I don't really mind that since most of the time she's jumping out of my arms to explore. Today's been one of those clingy days, so I'm wondering if that first tooth's neighbor is about to pop through. We shall see!

Let's go Vols!

Piper is ready to cheer on the Vols thanks to the handiwork of Tam-Tam and Mamaw.

Wakeboarding

Obviously this post is not about Piper. Josh and Ian wakeboarded together the last time we were up at the lake. This is cool!

for Tam-Tam

Piper had her first interaction with the piano tonight. With her pedigree, she should definitely have music in her blood. Let's hope this is just her first recital of many, many more!

Watch her leg as she pounds away. Too funny!

Pop-Pop

Tonight we visited with one of Piper's great-grandfathers, Pop-Pop (my dad's dad, for those of you who may not know). We all ate at Fazolis, one of the few restaurants where I can order off the menu, and Piper did awesome! It was her first time out to eat, and she even ate her dinner while we had ours. It's definitely nice to know she can handle this now. Afterwards we went back to Pop-Pop's house to visit and play for a while.

Labor Day

We spent the weekend at the lake with Nana and Gramps and even got in some time with Mamaw and Tam-tam. I have become negligent with the picture-taking lately, so these two will have to hold you for a while!
