Easter Egg Hunt

Today was Piper's last day of school before Easter (they will be on Spring Break next week), so her teachers planned an Easter egg hunt for her class.  It wasn't much of a hunt as all the eggs were laid out in plain view, but it was fun nonetheless.  Last year at this time, Piper was toddling around and calling the eggs "balls."   This year she is running around like a crazy girl and definitely knows that she's supposed to get as many eggs as possible and put them in her basket.  She was fun to watch!

Ready to go!

Waiting patiently for her turn to "hunt"

Evidence that Graham attended his first Easter egg hunt!

Her loot

She asked me to take her picture but then wouldn't look at me.  Go figure!

Her classmates, all inspecting their goodies

Name that tune

It's no surprise that Piper loves music.  She recently started requesting certain songs, so we decided to teach her the names of all the songs we happen to hear (or the ones we want her to know).  These aren't silly kids songs--they are ones on the radio or songs we own.  She has amazed us by learning the name of a song after only hearing it once and not hearing it for a long time after that.  It's now a game to see how many she can learn.  Josh put together a small sample of the songs she knows.  Enjoy!

Easter time's a comin'!

Josh and I have been reading Piper the Easter story from her "Bible book" and some other books we borrowed from our church's library.  She loves the stories and can fill in the blanks if we purposely leave out words.  On the way to church this morning, I asked her "what Easter was all about" (exact words from one of her favorite Easter books).  Her response? "Jelwey beans."  I guess we have some work to do!

Sweet Siblings

Piper is big into animals lately and "reads" this particular zoo book several times a day.  I always encourage her to share it with Graham, and this morning she pulled up her big chair beside him and was telling him all about the animals.

On another day, Piper decided to sit and read to Graham on his play mat.
I think he liked the attention :-).

Anytime I put Graham on his mat for tummy time, Piper likes to join in.  Here she is showing him how to roll over.

 A quick smooch

What's Piper been up to lately?

Eating lots of "o-gurt"

Constantly asking to "slide down" whenever she catches glimpse of  a playground

Climbing EVERYTHING

Baking lots of cookies!

Always joking

Recovering from a bout of pinkeye (that thankfully none of the rest of us  caught)

Looking super-cute!

Reading her "Bible-book" every night

Stylin' on walks around the neighborhood

Posing for pictures with Mommy
