Friday Phone Dump

The Easter bunny brought Piper some crayons she can use to draw all over the tub walls.  She loves them so much that we have a hard time getting her out of the bathtub!

We were playing around with one of the camera features on my phone one morning.  Graham isn't sure what to think of the two silly girls he lives with.

Today we met Mikey and his mom Erica at the zoo for a few hours.  Mikey and Piper are in the same preschool class.

This was the scene after Piper fell asleep on the way home from the zoo.  I got her out of the car, in the house, on the changing table...

...took off her pants, put on a diaper, and literally dropped her into her crib without waking her up.  Almost four hours later,  I had to get her up in time for supper :-).

Graham was pretty tuckered out from his excursion to the zoo, too.

Special Moments

Since Graham was born, Josh has jumped into his newly-enhanced role as Daddy.  Especially since I am nursing, my hands are full with Graham when it comes time for dinner, bath, and bedtime.  Josh takes over "Piper-duty" as soon as he walks in the door from work each night.  He always gives her a bath, fixes her hair, and reads her books to get ready for bed.  I found them snuggling together Monday night and was touched by this tender moment.  Piper and Graham are lucky to have such a wonderful Daddy!

Nona and Papaw

Our week in east Tennessee ended with a visit with Nona and Papaw (Josh's paternal grandparents).  We always enjoy seeing them, and this visit was as special as they come!

A Wild Day

Every Thursday, Nana keeps Lyndie and Channing while Aunt Tisha works in Abington.  So the Thursday I was home, we had four children under age three.  It was a lot of fun, but we were definitely ready for nap time :-).

There was some difficulty sharing toys, namely this little stool.  I'm not sure why I decided to take this picture instead of making sure Piper didn't clobber Lyndie with the stool.

Lyndie wanted desperately for Piper to sit on her lap so she could read this book to her.  It was cute, but Piper would have none of it.
kisses for the babies while piled up on Nana
I really wanted to get good pictures of the cousins to share with everyone.  Let's just say it's nearly impossible to photograph squirmy toddlers and infants, especially when they're all together!

These precious boys are probably the closest each will have to having a brother.  They really enjoyed laying beside one another and grinning at Nana.  We can't wait to watch them grow up together and be the best of friends, like their sisters!

Little Dental Assistant

I was able to get my teeth cleaned at Dad's office during my visit home.  And Ms. Ashley had an extra special assistant to help her polish my pearly-whites!

a little skeptical

still not quite sure about this

now she's got it!

love this sweet smile

Piper's turn!
Unfortunately, Ashley found a cavity, but Dad was able to fill it immediately after my cleaning.  I didn't really want Piper "assisting" with the drill, so we had to find her something to do while Dad was working on me.  The girls in the office tried everything to pry her away from me: books, toys, playing in the chairs, etc.  Nothing worked until they found a ball for Piper to play with.  Surprise, surprise--she ran to them quicker than lightning!

A week at Nana's

Piper, Graham, and I were lucky enough to spend a week in east Tennessee after Easter.  It was a welcomed break for me as Graham demands so much from me, day and night, and Piper is pretty high-maintenance, too.  We had a great time, and Nana and Gramps were a huge help to me!

Piper loved playing in their sandbox.  I refuse to get a sandbox because they are so messy, but I'm glad she can play with theirs (and get them to clean her up!).

The Easter bunny brought Graham this ball, and he really likes it.  He is just beginning to grab things, and this is easy for him to curl his little fingers around.

I snapped this picture when Piper got excited after hearing Gramps coming through the door.  She loves him!

We spent an afternoon at the park and even met another little girl named Piper!

Our little ball-lover spent two Saturdays at the ball field watching cousin Ian playing ball.  At the end of one of the games, Nana took her out on the field to run the bases.  She still talks about "running home base".

Aunt Sarah Beth had this bath seat which allowed me to bathe Piper and Graham together for the first time.  They were all smiles in the tub!  I did have to tell Piper not to pour water on Graham's head, however.

This girl makes me laugh all the time!

Easter at Tam-Tam's house

Saturday after naps, we packed up and headed to Tam-Tam's house for Easter supper.

Piper always loves playing Tam-Tam's pianos.

And we had another egg hunt!

And the highlight of the evening just might have been all the caterpillars on Tam-Tam's porch.
