Josh and I took our little ballerina trick-or-treating last night! We went to the same neighborhood and with the same group of friends with whom we went last year. Our total group consisted of six children, all under the age of three! Piper caught on quickly and wasn't the least bit hesitant about approaching people for candy, although she definitely preferred to put the candy in her bucket herself instead of letting someone else do it. She was a trooper and insisted on walking the entire time. We only carried her when she was falling behind the older kids.
The families (read: the adults) in this neighborhood go all-out for Halloween: decorating, dressing up, and even tailgating for the holiday evening. I thought Piper might be afraid of some of the decorations and gruesome make-up, but she wasn't fazed at all. She loved spotting the ghosts and saying "Boooooo!" as we passed them in people's yards.
