a BIG thank-you

To say these past few days have been stressful would be an understatement.  Thankfully, we have so many people who were willing to go out of their way to help us out.

Much of our stress stemmed from finding care for Piper so that Josh and I could both be at the hospital with Graham (ok, with each other).  One of our neighbors watched Piper at the house on Saturday morning so Josh could pull together everything he needed for a stay at the hospital and also so he could get Piper ready for her afternoon away from the house.  One of my best friends Ashley (you can check out her sweet family here: www.hodgeshysteria.blogspot.com) offered to keep Piper on Saturday afternoon.  She has two girls (3 and 1 1/2) who Piper loves.  We were able to ship Piper off to the Hodges's house and not worry about a single thing.  She played HARD with Meg and Mary Clark and ate lots.  We are so grateful to Ashley and Cole for taking such good care of our sweet girl.

Piper stayed with the Hodges until Tam-Tam and Mamaw could get here.  Josh called them and asked them to drop everything immediately and come to Nashville.  They were here in time to put Piper to bed Saturday night and stayed until Monday night.  Not only did they take the best care of Piper, but they cleaned my house, did the laundry, went to the grocery, and had a hot meal waiting on us when we came home from the hospital tonight.  They went above and beyond the call of duty, and we are so thankful they could come from East Tennessee at a moment's notice to help us.

Friends from church called, prayed, and brought us food at the hospital.  Josh and I have said that our church family here is just as close to us as our biological family--just as a church family should be.  We definitely felt the peace of Christ as we were lifted up in prayer.

And thanks to the Internet and Facebook, we had literally hundreds of people keeping us in their thoughts and prayers.  I am grateful for the friends and aquaintences who continued to check in on us through the weekend and into today.

To everyone who helped us in any way during this experience--Thank you, and we love you!
