Florida

A little less than two weeks after we returned from Boston, the kids and I boarded another plane, this time bound for Florida!  We spent 6 days visiting Grandad in Titusville.  Nana joined us down there, too.

Of course, our first stop upon arrival was Dixie Crossroads. The kids both loved Mr. and Mrs. Rock, feeding the fish, and eating!  I think Graham ate a whole container of corn fritters by himself.

The next day, we were beach bound!  They both loved being at the beach.  Piper is being very conservative this year around water (only wanting to go in where she can touch the bottom), so she wasn't very adventurous.  But she and Graham were content to play in the tide pools and shovel sand to their hearts' content!

We spent one evening at great-great aunt Mary Jean's house.  The kids were all over her playhouse and feeding the fish in her pond, and I was inside after getting ravaged by mosquitoes.  I only got one picture that evening, back at Grandad's house.

The next day, we were at the beach again!

That evening, we went to one of my favorite Titusville eateries, Kloiblers.  We took some time for a few family photos outside of the restaurant.

check out Piper's face here--I think she was done with pictures!

We were able to spend one more day at the beach.  There were no tide pools this day, so we (I) dug our own!  Graham took a little snooze on the beach in some pretty comfy arms :-).

Piper wanted to wear her towel "like Daddy does"

No trip to Titusville is complete without multiple trips to Dixie Crossroads.  So back we went!  This time, Piper ate her entire plate of shrimp, and Graham decided corn fritters are even better when dipped in Nana's butter.

We were able to spend some time with my aunt and uncle, Julie and Bob (and Anthony and Ashane!), at their house and then again the next day at Grandad's (and Dixie again!).  Piper and Graham got to jump on a trampoline for the first time!  Ashane was soooooo good to play with Piper and show her lots of tricks on the tramp!

All good things must come to an end, but the blow of leaving was softened by the characters at the Orlando airport.  Piper was more than happy to pose for pictures with them, as you can clearly see below!

We had such a good time in Titusville!  The kids were great on the plane and adjusted well to life on vacation.  Thanks to Grandad for letting us invade his house and  to my mom for helping out, too.
