Whew! We've had a busy past few days! Last Wednesday, Piper went to the doctor for her 6 month visit. She is still growing steadily along her own little growth curve. Although it may appear that she is small, the doctor is not at all worried about her. She is very active and strong and is developmentally right on target. We will head full-force into solid foods now, starting with sweet potatoes tonight!

On Thursday, Piper and I travelled to Knoxville to visit the Brownlee family (Derek, Anna, Kayleigh, and new baby Cameron) and to reconnect with some of my old teaching buddies from Oak Ridge. I was worried about how Piper would do by herself in the backseat during the 3 hour drive, but she was perfect! We had a blast seeing our friends!

Who needs a mini van? We can fit three car seats in the back of my sedan!

Kayleigh is such a great sister to Cameron and played lots with Piper, too.
Josh met us in Knoxville on Friday, and the three of us ventured to the lake. We were there to celebrate Nana's birthday, but we also got to see Josh's Mamaw and mom.

Tam-Tam and Piper

Ian is so good to Piper. He even lets her pull his hair!

We tried to get the cousins to pose for a group picture in the pool. Now that Lyndie is walking, she's never still! Here she's on her way out of the pool for the 100th time.

Posing for the camera
About the only thing Piper didn't do the past few days was sleep. Apparently, though, she's recharging; she's currently well on her way to a 3 hour nap!
