Ice Skating (if that's what you want to call it)

While we were back home for Christmas, I had the wild idea to take Piper ice skating (for the record, Josh agreed with me).  We envisioned her finding her balance immediately and zipping around the rink with ease, leaving us in awe of her natural talent.

Um, yeah.  That didn't happen.

Piper loved the experience and is convinced that she ice skated, but in reality her feet barely touched the ice because she could not keep them under her for two seconds.  Josh had to carry her around the rink with her feet barely skimming the ice.  She loved it; his back did not.

We will wait a couple more years before trying that again.

Eagerly waiting on the zamboni to finish smoothing the ice

Could these tiny skates be any cuter?!

Still waiting: perfect time for a photo op

Graham and Nana watched from outside the rink in the comfort of their own shoes
